We know that every company or organization's culture that defines it including decision-making will help it meet its objectives.
Currently, some companies and agencies have modernized in terms of their organizational structure that's the way of distributing communication and task no longer follows the traditional hierarchical pyramidal structure, in which there is a boss who makes decisions and from there it goes to other managers and they‘re in charge of transmitting it to the other collaborators, Now there are other types of structures such as holocracy, which I’m going to talk about in this article.
Horacracy is an organization system that occurs horizontally, that is there is no hierarchy as such we’re all equally important, and no one is superior or inferior to the others. The agency or company coordinates in a circular way in multidisciplinary teams that self-manage and solve problems independently.
Perhaps this new concept of organizational structures seems a little less formal or perhaps somewhat risky, however, some of these advantages are that it gives specific roles to employees depending on their qualities and the autonomous power to solve any difficulties which increase efficiency in the resolution.
A good example where holocracy is applied is my workplace, Birth Group we’re organized by multidisciplinary cells that work independently on different projects with clients. We as evolvers have a sense of cooperation and mutual help, not only with our cell but with others that also required it, so that the work is carried out with greater efficiency and quality. In addition, we all have the freedom to purpose ideas and lead them. Of course without forgetting that this holocracy values that characterize the Birth and that very important to us.
Finally, I think that holocracy fits very well with the new organizational models and also with these labor trends that have been emerging, the holocracy that is practiced has greater commitment and loyalty towards the agency for us.
And what do you think of these new trends in organizational structures?
